A historic Allentown mansion that until recently served as headquarters for Siegel Kelleher & Kahn LLP has been sold to another law firm.

The 7,400-square-foot building, located at 420 Franklin St., was acquired by Andrews Bernstein & Maranto LLP. The firm paid $499,900, according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's office.

It moved from longtime offices in the BAC Building at 69 Delaware Ave.

The property includes an adjoining, 16-car parking lot. Siegel Kelleher & Kahn put it on the market last summer after merging with HoganWillig and moving ro Amherst. One partner, J. Michael Kelleher, bought a building on Central Avenue in Lancaster for $60,000 and will maintain an office there with his own masthead.

The Franklin Street property was listed for $550,000.

Still for sale is an adjoining Franklin Street building where Siegel Kelleher & Kahn maintained offices, as well.

The Siegel Kelleher/Andrews Bernstein deal was brokered by Jay Newman of Hastings Cohn Real Estate and Gunner Tronolone of M.J. Peterson Commercial Real Estate.

The building was erected in 1871 and designed by local architect Richard Waite for Buffalo businessman Frank Hamlin. It went through a number of uses ranging from a private residence to offices before the law firm took it over 27 years ago.
