Realtor and investor Nick Sinatra recently added two apartment complexes to his growing portfolio.
According to public documents, he paid $490,000 for a 12-unit complex on Virgil Avenue in North Buffalo and $295,000 for an eight-unit complex on Broad Street in the City of Tonawanda. The buildings had been owned by separate real estate investment groups.
Sinatra said he plans to fix them up and keep them as apartments.
The purchase deals had been in the works since late summer.
Strong demographics were a factor in his decision to purchase the apartments, according to Sinatra.
"North Buffalo is traditionally a very strong rental market," he said. "I'm lucky because I am getting a building that has performed strongly in the past."
Of the dozen apartments in the building, only two are vacant.
"We've got a good tenant base there," he said.
The Broad Street property is equally strong, he said, adding, "As we started our research, the strong tenant base also stood out."
With the latest deal, Sinatra said his company has 75 apartments currently under its control.
