A strip plaza on Main Street in Clarence that was originally constructed by businessman Kelly Schultz was re-acquired by Schultz and his investment partners.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's Office, he and fellow businessman Jack Willert, along with Pillar RE Advisors LLC, bought the Victoria Park Plaza at 10225 Main St. The clerk's records indicate the investment group paid $700,000 for the 25,000-square-foot plaza, which was owned by Joseph and Gwen Frey. Frey bought the plaza from Schultz more than 10 years ago.
Schultz said the deal was a friendly one between two people who have done business together for many years.
"It (the plaza) was something we liked, so when the chance came along, we bought it back," he said.
Victoria Park Plaza has a mix of small retailers and professional offices. According to Schultz, minor renovations will be done as he and his parners prep the plaza to land more tenants.
"We do have some space - not a lot - that needs to be filled," he said.
