Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp. has entered the blogosphere.

It created the "Experience Niagara USA Travel Blog" as a means to promote the region and highlight upcoming events to potential visitors.

Bloggers will use audio, video and photos to generate interest from potential visitors, officials said.

"This approach will not only educate the visitor but will inspire him or her to come explore Niagara USA and truly discover all of the wonders we have to offer," said John Percy, NTCC president and CEO.

"This blog gives us yet another platform to showcase the destination and interact with potential visitors," Percy said.

The blog will serve as an official clearinghouse for the Niagara Region.

Contributions will come from NTCC employees, avid travelers and community stakeholders, among others.
