Michael Russo, assistant attorney general in charge of the Buffalo regional office of the state attorney general, has been appointed to the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority board.

He was named to the Peace Bridge Authority board by Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

This is his first term on the 10-member board, which includes five U.S. and five Canadian directors.

Russo has been with the attorney general's office since 1999 when he joined the litigation department. Before that, he worked at DamonMorey. He also served as adjunct professor of business law at the University at Buffalo Law School.

He received his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law.
