Mark Brand, a partner in Phillips Lytle LLP, will be among the featured speakers at the Employer Summit seminar, Oct. 28 at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara in Amherst.

His practice focuses on employee benefits law and related retirement and estate planning considerations, as well as health law compliance for health-care providers. He will discuss "Legal Aspects of Value-Based Insurance Designs."

Brand was recently named to the 2010 list of New York State Super Lawyers Upstate for his work in the areas of employee benefits/ERISA. He serves on the board of directors of Summit Educational Resources Inc. and also is a board member and immediate past chairman of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute board of trustees. Brand is co-chair of the Aging with Honor Committee for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, as well.
