Western New Yorkers earn 'Best Lawyers' distinction

Twenty-two attorneys of Damon Morey LLP are included in this year's Best Lawyers in America publication.

They are: Susan Benz and Robert Portin, health care; Patrick Curran, Thomas Drury and Barbara Schifeling, personal injury; Melinda Disare, Randolph Oppenheimer and James Schmit, labor and employment; Anthony Eugeni, James Gormley and Gregory Yungbluth, corporate; Anne Evans and Vincent Moore, real estate; Christopher Greene, corporate and health care; Franklin Heller, bankruptscy/creditor debtor rights; Jeffrey Palumbo, land use and zoning; Robert Plache and Charles Telford III, trusts and estates; Gust Pullman, intellectual property; William Savino, commercial litigation; Carol Snider, mass tort litigation; and Frederick Wolf, administrative and banking.

Gross Schuman Brizdle & Gilfillan saw five attorneys named Best Lawyers in America. They are: David Alexander and Jeffrey Human, corporate law; Hugh Carlin, labor and employment; Howard Cohen, personal injury litigation; and Robert Feldman, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law.

Seven attorneys of Secrest & Emery LLP are included, as well. They are: Phillip Delmont and Anthony Mancinelli, corporate; Raymond Fink, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights; Thomas Hurley and Samuel Palisano, employee benefits; Craig Slater, environmental; and Robert Weissflach, labor and employment.

Several firms have ‘Super Lawyers'

Hurwitz & Fine PC had 15 attorneys named to the 2010 Super Lawyers Upstate Edition. They are: Robert Fine, Diane Church, Lawrence Franco, Andrea Schillaci and Kevin Zanner, business/corporate; Dan Kohane, insurance coverage; Harry Mooney, Michael Perley and Paul Suozzi, personal injury defense; Ann Evanko, employment and labor; Roger Ross, real estate; Lawrence Ross, health care; Edward Robinson, estate planning; Earl Cantwell, business litigation; and Shawn Martin, general litigation.

Michelle Parker, a partner in the Buffalo office of Anspach Meeks Ellenberger LLP, also was included in this year's New York Super Lawyers. She focuses her practice on defending companies in personal injury lawsuits.

Also included were five attorneys from the law firm of Chelus Herdzik Speyer & Monte P.C.: Michael Chelus, general litigation; Arthur Herdzik, personal injury defense; Rebecca Monte, estate planning and probate; and Thomas Speyer and Thomas Kawalec, civil litigation defense.

Lipsitz Ponterio launches new Web site

The law firm of Lipsitz & Ponterio LLC launched a new Web site on "Plastics and Mesothelioma." It offers information about asbestos exposure through the transportation and delivery of asbestos-containing plastic molding compound. It also offers details on exposure to raw asbestos during the manufacturing process of plastic molding compound. Jaeckle attorney to present Oct. 1
