Growing demand for office space is fueling the latest project from McGuire Development Co.
The company is putting final design touches on a proposed 30,000-square-foot, multi-tenant building that will help anchor the Wehrle Corporate Center in Lancaster.
Construction could start later this summer, said James Dentinger, McGuire Development president.
"It is tenant-driven, but we've already had some pretty good activity on it," Dentinger said.
The building carries a development price tag of $3 million.
McGuire is working with the Lancaster Industrial Development Agency on an incentive package to help finance the project. The park is located on Wehrle Drive between Transit and Harris Hill roads.
The Buffalo architecture firm of Carmina Wood & Morris P.C. was retained to design the building. Tredo Engineers was hired as structural engineer.
According to Dentinger, it's a companion building to an existing 20,000-square-foot, multi-tenant facility his company developed and opened over the winter. The tenant roll includes Williamsville Pediatrics and Hearing Evaluation Services of Western New York.
Just a few months after its opening, that building is almost fully leased, Dentinger said. It will be marketed to both medical and professional office tenants.
"We're sitting in the middle of some very attractive markets like Amherst, Clarence and Lancaster," he said.
