Former Pittsburgh mayor to speak in Buffalo

Tom Murphy, former mayor of Pittsburgh who currently serves as a senior resident fellow for the Urban Land Institute, will lead a discussion on economic and land development opportunities in Western New York.
The event will take place on Friday, May 21 at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave., from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Murphy served three terms as the mayor of Pittsburgh and initiated a public-private partnership strategy that leveraged more than $4.5 billion in economic development.
