Accounting firm offering clients a 'Personal CFO'

The Bonadio Group has expanded its list of services with the addition of the "Personal Chief Financial Officer."

The added service provides combined tax, legal, accounting and investment management for clients in the form of a single personal Bonadio contact. It is offered through the firm's Bonadio Wealth Advisors group.

The service is geared toward clients who get frequently "bombarded" with legal, financial and insurance information and want help organizing their complex personal finances, said Philip Mann, managing partner of the CPA firm's Amherst office.

The point is to provide a complete overview of a person's finances and make sure those finances - be it retirement accounts, college savings or buy/sell agreements - are in order.

The unit is an outcome of The Bonadio Group's fall 2008 acquisition of The DR Group in Albany, which offered a similar service to its clients.
