Three-part seminar on real estate investing set

The American Institute of Real Estate Exchangors will present the tuition-free continuing-education course "How to Invest in Real Estate Wisely" for real estate agents/brokers.

The three-part course will be conducted Feb. 11, Feb. 19, and Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.

Topics to be covered include how to analyze and value real estate as an investment, rules of thumb and why they don't work when buying investment property, different types of dispositions, how to pay no tax when disposing of investment property, protecting real estate assets from the IRS and lawsuits, fair-housing issues and other topics.

The course will be presented by Russell Gullo, a certified exchange advisor and president of the R.J. Gullo Cos., which include an exchange intermediary entity, a real estate investment brokerage and a co-ownership investment company.

Gullo is founder of the AIREE and president of the American Society of Exchangors.
