Law book publisher West is publishing almost 30 of its most popular titles for Amazon's Kindle.

The Eagan, Minn.-based legal publisher, which is part of Thomson Reuters, made the announcement Thursday.

"Customers have responded favorably to our various iPhone and iPod touch apps, so we see this as a natural extension of our advanced-media strategy - making key content accessible on a variety of mobile devices, beginning with the platforms from Apple and Amazon," said Mike Suchsland, senior vice president at West, in a statement.

Titles now available on Kindle include "Making Your Case: The Art of Persuading Judges," by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hon. Antonin Scalia and Bryan Garner, editor-in-chief of "Black's Law Dictionary."

Other titles are:
