Most-wanted parolee nabbed in Nebraska, in stolen truck

Mon, Jul 20th 2009 12:00 am
LEXINGTON, Neb. (AP) - A registered sex offender on New York's list of most-wanted parolees was arrested on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska.

A news release from the Nebraska State Patrol said Wednesday that 42-year-old John Shaw of Otsego County was arrested Tuesday.

The patrol says someone reported suspicious behavior by a woman at a Lexington truck stop. She got into a truck with a man, and they headed west on I-80.

The truck soon exited onto a county road, then returned to the highway, heading east.

A trooper pulled them over, then learned the truck had been stolen in New York.

Shaw and 28-year-old Lisa Knoblauch, also from Otsego County, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and property. She, too, is wanted by parole authorities.
