An accounting trade journal has ranked The Bonadio Group among the largest CPA firms in the United States.

The March 16 issue of Accounting Today lists the top 100 firms in the country. The Bonadio Group ranked 80th on that list, according to Bonadio officials.

Last year, the publication listed the Rochester-based firm as 99th largest. The firm attributed its 19-space move to a 26 percent revenue increase related to new business lines and a merger with an Albany-area firm.

"This annual ranking of the Top 100 tax and accounting firms is one of the most respected listings of its kind," managing partner Tom Bonadio said in a statement. "When you consider that there are about 50,000 CPA firms in the country, our ranking reflects the continued support we've earned from our clients and the communities across the state where we have a presence."

In addition to Rochester, The Bonadio Group has offices in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Geneva and Perry.
