Security Credit Systems Inc. is facing a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Labor over its failure to pay overtime compensation to more than 100 workers.
The federal investigation targeted the Buffalo company and its owner and president, Angelo Travale Jr., for violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court, said the company violated overtime and record-keeping provisions affecting 116 employees since April 2005. The Labor Department is seeking back wages on behalf of those workers.
