Disgruntled hockey players accused of trashing building
Police say members of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League's Jamestown Vikings broke windows and furniture, spilled paint and set a kitchen fire, causing an estimated $25,000 or more in damage to the former Elks lodge where they were living.
The vandalism happened early Feb. 14, a day after the league canceled the remainder of its season because of financial problems.
The team's owner and league commissioner, Andrew Haines, did not immediately return a phone message.
Detective Lt. Todd Isaacson says a handful of players are likely to face felony charges.
